Quick Post: Scary Movie 2

"Let me use my strong hand" to type this post. People hate on this movie yet a lot know the movie quote by quote. Those drunken conversations you have with friends where you act out the scenes with the butler. Yeah you know you are one of them. I loved the Scary Movie franchise up until the Wayans brothers backed out of them.

Netflix: Haunter

Haunter: This movie took me by surprise. It was a late night and me and my friends had been up watching scary movies and outside telling ghost stories by the fire. Haunter was the final choice of the evening and it was fresh and exciting coming from the bottomless pit known as Netflix.

It stars Abigail Breslin and was written by Matthew and Brian King. A young girl is soon to discover that her and her entire family are stuck in the time loop of death and makes contact with the living. Being a victim of an unknown crime she soon branches out to help her new friend and solve the mystery that is their new life.

This movie had a new twist of the ghost haunting idea for the main character is actually the ghost. From the beginning and on the movie takes you into a murder mystery journey into the unknown and spits you out with shock and freight.

Rotten Tomatoes: Tomatometer gives it a 53% rating and 43% of the audience liked it.

IMDB: Users gave it a 5.9 rating which is decent enough.

The movie is an obvious straight to DVD but since it is on Netflix give it a shot!

Throwback Thursday: One Missed Call

About the Film: One Missed Call ( 2007 ) was written by Andrew Klavan and directed by Eric Valette

and stars Shannyn Sossamon, Edward Burns and Meagan Good. This isn't another Ring movie or another

Grudge, One missed Call ruined ringtones and cell phone calls for months after the film was released. Calling

people with this tone makes for a great prank. In the film a Ghost is able to use phone calls to haunt and

murder its victims. Beth Raymond must fight for her and her friends life in this crazy Horror Thriller.

My Opinion: Miss Shannyn stuns as always in this movie and remains one of my favorite horror films. Yes

this movie is cliche and predictable at best but somehow there's something special about it for me. It does

have its good scares but it is the mystery behind it that makes it worth watching. They chose a beautiful cast

to keep you captivated and wanting more. If you heard the theme ringtone of this film would you answer it?
